Dead Sea, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – The 57th Annual General Meeting of the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO) will be held between 29 and 31 October 2024 at the ‘Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea’, under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, and by kind invitation of Royal Jordanian, with the participation of more than 200 Arab and global aviation experts gathering Chief Executive Officers of AACO member airlines, partner airlines and industry partners from aircraft and engine manufacturers, information technology partners, and others.
The AGM’s opening will take place on 29 October at the “Lemon Garden” at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea. Eng. Samer Majali, Vice Chairman / Board Designee CEO of Royal Jordanian, and the Chairman of AACO 57th AGM, will be opening the AGM tonight, followed by an address by AACO Secretary General, Mr. Abdul Wahab Teffaha.
The AGM working sessions will be held on 30 October at the “Sacrament Ballroom” at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea – Main Building. The sessions will feature a tribute to H.E. Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Advisor to H.E. the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, in addition to AACO Secretary General’s report on the “State of the Industry”, and a speech by the Director of ICAO’s Air Transport Bureau, Mr. Mohamad Rahma, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Chicago Convention.
These will be followed by the Arab Aviation Summit featuring a high-level panel discussion on industry issues, moderated by Mr. Abdul Wahab Teffaha, AACO Secretary General.

• Mr. Mohamad A. El-Hout / Chairman - Director General / Middle East Airlines
• Mr. Mohamad Rahma, Director of Air Transport Bureau/ International Civil Aviation Organization
• Eng. Maryam Al-Balooshi / State Lead Negotiator for Aviation Climate Change Vice Chair of the Committee of Aviation Environment Protection (CAEP).
After the Arab Aviation Summit, a closed session for AACO members will be held to discuss and decide on administrative, financial, and strategic issues related to AACO’s work.
The AGM will conclude on the same day with a press conference to be held at the “Sacrament Ballroom”- Main Building of the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea at 16:45 pm gathering the AGM Chairman and AACO Secretary General.
