General Opening of the 49th Annual General Meeting of the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO) 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), will be held between 28 and 30 November 2016 at Hyatt Regency Hotel, by kind invitation of Mr. Abdelhamid Addou / Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Royal Air Maroc and Chairman of the 49th AGM, with the participation of more than 250 Arab and global aviation industry experts.
The AGM’s General Opening ceremony will take place tonight at “Mechouar” where the representative of the Patron of the AGM will deliver the opening speech of the AGM. The AGM Chairman – Mr. Abdelhamid Addou and AACO Secretary General – Mr. Abdul Wahab Teffaha will also deliver speeches at the opening.
The AGM working sessions will be held tomorrow on 29 November at "Hyatt Regency Tent - Chapiteau". The Sessions will feature AACO Secretary General’s report on the State of the Industry, a speech by Mr. Alexandre De Juniac, Director General and CEO of IATA, about industry issues, a speech by Eng. Mohamed Sherif, Director General of ACAC, about common issues between AACO and ACAC, and a special presentation by Mr. Peter Harbison, Executive Chairman of CAPA, on strategic issues. This will be followed by a closed session dedicated for AACO members to discuss and decide on internal and administrative issues related to AACO’s work and on common strategic issues.
The afternoon session of 29 November will witness a discussion panel to be moderated by Mr. Richard Quest, CNN's foremost international business correspondent and presenter, with the participation of several esteemed speakers discussing their views on strategic issues in the aviation industry.
The AGM will conclude its work on the same day with a press conference to be held at "Hyatt Regency Tent - Chapiteau" during which the AGM Chairman and AACO Secretary General will be available to answer questions of the media.
