Fifty years ago a group of aviation pioneers established AACO on 25 August 1965. The Arab airlines have grown in scale and scope since then and some of them are today global brands, while every one of them prides itself to be closer to the customer and the fastest to respond to his or her aspirations. AACO 47th AGM of 2014 that was held in Dubai and hosted by Emirates commemorated the start of our 50th year of existence by adopting a new logo for AACO.
And to commemorate further the establishment of AACO, we announce today the launch of our new, totally revamped website. Our first website was launched in 1997 and this version is our fifth whereas our fourth generation website received more than one million visits in the last 12 months by an average of 30,000 individuals a month. We introduce with this new website the following additional attributes:  easier navigation and more user friendliness, better exposure for AACO events, easier access to AACO publications, better interactive interface for member’s login to allow upload and download of documents and group dissemination, a new section in the media center allowing uploads of pictures and videos of our events, a new section about policy issues, and finally, gradual introduction of seamless viewer experience regardless of the platform used. That of course comes in addition to the social media outreach which we have introduced four years ago, making communication with and through AACO available via a multitude of social media platforms.
