Sharjah airport logs 850,000 passengers in 9 months

More than 850,000 passengers have passed through the smart gates of the Sharjah International Airport, during the period from October 2016 through June 2017, according to the Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), a report said.
There is a total of 16 smart gates at the airport's department and arrival terminals, through which the travellers can get through passport control within 20 seconds.
The gates were introduced nine months ago, they use a highly efficient, quick and accurate system that reads and scans passport information, capturing biometric data using a high-accuracy camera and comparing the information given, with the passenger details saved in the system. This has helped speed up the procedures, cut waiting time and reduce congestion.

مطار الشارقة يسجل 850 ألف مسافر في تسعة أشهر

ذكرت هيئة مطار الشارقة الدولي ان أكثر من 850 ألف مسافر مروا عبر البوابات الذكية لمطار الشارقة الدولي خلال الفترة من تشرين الأول/اكتوبر 2016 حتى حزيران/يونيو 2017.
وتتوزع 16 بوابة ذكية في محطات الوصول والمغادرة في مطار الشارقة الدولي، والتي تمكن المسافرين من اجتياز نقاط العبور في غضون 20 ثانية.
وتستخدم البوابات التي تم وضعها منذ تسعة أشهر نظاما فعالا، سريعا ودقيقا يقرأ ويحجز معلومات جواز السفر ويجمع البيانات البيومترية باستخدام كاميرا عالية الدقة ويقارن المعلومات المقدمة مع تفاصيل المسافرين المحفوظة في النظام، مما يساعد على تسريع الإجراءات، وخفض وقت الانتظار والحد من الازدحام.
