According to statistics released by Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 918,207 passengers (PAX) in July 2018 - as opposed to 868,614 in the same month last year - marking a significant increase of 5.7% and setting an unprecedented record for previous July results. During the same period, aircraft movement (ACM) figures also rose by 6.3%, with handled cargo witnessing a decrease of 11.8%.
Throughout the first seven months of 2018, QAIA received a total of 4,802,725 passengers, registering a 7.2% rise in year-to-date (YTD) PAX numbers compared to the same period last year. As for ACM and cargo YTD figures, QAIA marked a 2.0% growth and a 0.6% drop to come in at 44,063 movements and 60,642 tons respectively.
