Passenger traffic up by 7% at Kuwait International Airport in May

Civil aviation statistics showed a 7% increase in the number of passengers using Kuwait International Airport in May 2016, as 1.003 million passengers used the airport compared to 937,070 in May 2015.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) explained that the total number of passengers arriving to Kuwait in May was 487,220 compared to 449,250 in May 2015, and departing passengers were 516,250 in May 2016 compared to 487,820 in May 2015.
Statistics also showed that the total incoming and outbound flights using Kuwait international airport in the same period were 8,832 compared to 8,630 in 2015. Cargo-wise, statistics showed that the total weight of air cargo transported through Kuwait airport in the same period was 17.6 million kilograms compared to 16.75 million kilograms in May 2015.

أظهرت بيانات الإدارة العامة للطيران المدني زيادة حركة الركاب في مطار الكويت الدولي بنسبة 7 في المئة خلال شهر مايو 2016 باجمالي 1.003 مليون راكب مقابل 937,070 راكب للشهر ذاته عام 2015.
وقالت الإدارة إن حركة الركاب القادمين بلغت 487,220 مسافر في مايو 2016 مقابل 449,250 مسافراً خلال الشهر ذاته في عام 2015 في حين سجلت حركة الركاب المغادرين 516,250 مسافر خلال مايو 2016 مقابل 487,820 مسافراً خلال الشهر ذاته العام 2015.
وأضافت أن اجمالي حركة الطائرات المشغلة من وإلى مطار الكويت الدولي خلال مايو 2016 بلغ 8,832 رحلة مقارنة مع 8,630 رحلة للشهر ذاته عام 2015. وعلى صعيد حركة الشحن الجوي في مطار الكويت الدولي، ذكرت الإدارة أن اجمالي الحركة في مايو 2016 بلغ نحو 17.6 مليون كيلوغرام مقارنة بحركة شحن جوي بلغت نحو 16.75 مليون كيلوغرام في مايو 2015.
