According to statistics released by Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) received 959,560 passengers during July 2019, a 4.5% rise compared to the same month in 2018. In contrast, QAIA registered 7,927 aircraft movements and handled 9,672 tons of cargo, amounting to a respective 2.1% and 13.5% increase in July 2019 over July 2018.
In terms of year-to-date figures 5,108,561 passengers passed through QAIA, marking a 6.4% increase in comparison with the same period of 2018. In addition, Year-to-date aircraft movements grew by 4.3% to reach 45,940 movement, whereas Year-to-date handled cargo decreased by 3.3% to settle at 58,622 tons.
