According to August statistics released by Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed for the first time ever 1,002,010 passengers (PAX) during one month - represented by an upturn of 6.8% compared to 2017.
During the month, aircraft movements (ACM) increased by 8.8% and handled cargo decreased by 16.8%.
Between January and August 2018, passengers travelling via QAIA amounted to 5,804,735, marking a 7.2% growth in year-to-date (YTD) PAX numbers as opposed to the same period last year. In addition, figures registered a 3% rise in ACM and a 2.9% decline in cargo - with 52,365 movements and 68,996 tons respectively.
