The General Administration of Kuwait Civil Aviation announced that the total passenger movement to and from Kuwait International Airport in August 2023 amounted to 1,578,945.
The airport witnessed an increase in passenger traffic by 22%, and increase in aircraft movement by 28%, while air cargo traffic increased by 5%, during the month of August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
The movement of arriving passengers reached 774,600 in July 2023, while the movement of departing passengers reached 804,345.
The total number of transit passengers was 159,795, an increase of 54% over August 2022, indicating that the total aircraft movement operated to and from Kuwait Airport during the month of August 2023 amounted to 12,819 flights.
The total freight movement in August amounted to 17.2 million kilograms, with import freight movement amounting to about 14 million kilograms, and export volume reaching about 3.1 million kilograms.
