King Khalid International Airport recorded during August 2023 exceeding the barrier of 3 million passengers.
Riyadh Airports Company stated that the airport recorded the highest daily operating rates in terms of passenger numbers, as the number of passengers exceeded 113,000 passengers on the third day of August, compared to 109,000 passengers on the first day of the same month.
In terms of daily passenger numbers, the month of August witnessed the service of more than 100,000 passengers daily during the 17 operational days of the month. These frequency cases are the highest of their kind in a single month, and the total number of flights during the month exceeded 21,000 flights compared to 18,000 flights in the previous month. In 2019, the average daily passenger numbers increased by 18% to exceed 99,700 passengers, compared to 84,200 in 2019.
Thus, the total number of passengers at King Khalid International Airport reached 20,785,577 million passengers, starting from January until the end of August 2023, compared to 19,238,846 million. passengers for the same period of the year 2019, bringing the airport to an 8% increase in the number of its passengers compared to the results of the same period of the year 2019.
