Dubai International registers the highest monthly traffic with 7.2 million passengers in August 2015

According to the latest traffic report issued by operator, Dubai Airports, traffic at Dubai International reached 7,282,256, up 9.5% from 6,648,058 recorded during the same month in 2014. The year to date traffic totaled 52,264,223, up 12.4% compared to 46,479,919 recorded during the first eight months of 2014.
The Indian subcontinent topped the list of regions with highest growth in passenger numbers (+143,970 passengers) followed by Western Europe (+129,950) and the GCC (+111,637).
Eastern Europe was the fastest-expanding market in terms of percentage growth 67.9%, followed by North America 24.8% which benefited from the increase in Emirates’ capacity with bigger aircraft to Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco, and the added daily flights to both New York and Seattle, Russia & the CIS 12.9%, and the Middle East 11.6%, spurred mainly by the launch of services to new destinations and additional capacities on Emirates and flydubai among other carriers.
India remained the top destination country 855,550 passengers with financial capital Mumbai as the busiest destination, followed by the UK 543,213 passengers and Saudi Arabia 480,051 passengers. London was the top destination city followed closely by Kuwait and Doha. The passengers per movement figure during the month was 217.
Aircraft movements totaled 34,773 during the month under review, compared to 31,214 movements recorded in August 2014, an increase of 11.4%. Year to date aircraft movement totaled 268,253, up 18.1% compared to 227,110 recorded during the same period in 2014.
Dubai International handled freight volumes totaling 207,427 tons in August compared to 196,986 tons recorded in August 2014, up by 5.3%. Year to date cargo reached 1,645,815 tons, up 2.9% compared to 1,599,806 recorded during the first eight months in 2014.

مطار دبي الدولي يسجل رقماً قياسياً في عدد المسافرين ليصل إلى 7.2 مسافر في أغسطس 2015

سجل مطار دبي الدولي أعلى رقم في تاريخه في أعداد المسافرين خلال شهر أغسطس 2015، بعد أن ارتفع عدد مستخدمي المطار إلى أكثر من 7. وأعلنت مطارات دبي أن عدد المسافرين ارتفع إلى 7,282,256 مسافراً في شهر أغسطس 2015 بزيادة نسبتها 9.5 بالمئة مقارنة مع 6,648,058 مسافراً في أغسطس 2014. وساهم هذا النمو غير المسبوق بارتفاع إجمالي أعداد المسافرين ما بين يناير وأغسطس 2015 إلى 52,264,223 مسافراً بزيادة نسبتها 12.4 بالمئة مقارنة مع 46,479,919 مسافراً في الفترة المناظرة من العام 2014.
وتصدرت شبه القارة الهندية قائمة الأسواق التي تتعامل مع مطار دبي في أغسطس 2015 مقارنة مع أغسطس 2014، من حيث ارتفاع أعداد المسافرين بزيادة قدرها (143,970 مسافراً) تليها أوروبا الغربية (129,950 مسافراً)، ومن ثم دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي (111,637 مسافراً). وكانت أوروبا الشرقية السوق الأسرع من حيث نسبة النمو (67.9 في المئة)، تليها أمريكا الشمالية (24.8 في المئة) مستفيدة من قيام طيران الإمارات بزيادة طاقتها المقعدية باستخدام طائرات أضخم إلى شيكاغو ودالاس وهيوستن وسان فرانسيسكو، والرحلات الإضافية اليومية إلى كل من نيويورك وسياتل. تلتها روسيا ورابطة الدول المستقلة بزيادة (12.9 في المئة)، والشرق الأوسط (11.6 في المئة)، مدفوعة بشكل رئيسي بإطلاق طيران الإمارات وفلاي دبي وناقلات أخرى رحلات إضافية ووجهات جديدة.
