Abu Dhabi International Airport posts 15.6% increase in February 2014 passenger traffic

Abu Dhabi Airports has reported a 15.6% increase in passenger traffic during February 2014 at Abu Dhabi International Airport, as compared to February 2013. The airport’s passenger statistics showed that 1,411,881 passengers used the airport during the month, growing from 1,221,686 during the same month a year ago. Aircraft movements increased to 11,174 in February 2014, recording 12.2% growth when compared with 9,960 movements logged in February 2013.
Cargo activity handling rose to 56,902, representing a 13.8% increase when compared to February 2013.
The top five routes from Abu Dhabi International Airport during February were Bangkok, Jeddah, Doha, Manila and London Heathrow.

حقق مطار أبوظبي الدولي ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً في حركة المسافرين خلال شهر فبراير الماضي بنسبة 15.6 بالمئة ليصل عدد المسافرين إلى 1,411,881 مقارنةً بنفس الفترة من عام 2013 والتي رصدت 1,221,686 مسافر. ووفقاً للتقرير الصادر عن مطارات أبوظبي حول حركة الطائرات في المطار خلال شهر فبراير، ارتفعت حركة الطائرات لتصل إلى 11,174 في شهر فبراير للعام 2014، مسجله نموا بنسبة 12.2 بالمئة بالمقارنة مع 9,960 لحركة الطائرات في فبراير للعام 2013.
وكشف التقرير عن زيادة عمليات شحن البضائع بنسبة 13.8 بالمئة لتصل إلى 56,902 طن مقارنةً بنفس الفترة من العام الماضي التي سجلت 48,875 طن.
وكانت أكثر الوجهات التي سافر إليها المسافرين خلال شهر فبراير عبر مطار أبوظبي الدولي هي بانكوك، وجدة، والدوحة، ومانيلا، ولندن هيثرو.
