On 14 June 2023, UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced the signing of an air services agreement with Suriname.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral air transport relations between the countries, contribute to increased UAE air connectivity and benefit national airlines by expanding air transport services and increasing trade and tourism opportunities.
