On 6 March, Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation signed a memorandum of cooperation with the General Authority for Competition to improve the competitive market environment in the aviation sector and develop its economy.
The memorandum of cooperation aims to further strengthen the partnership and cooperation between the two authorities in preparing economic studies that contribute to building an environment for investment, creating and encouraging a spirit of fair competition, and combating monopolistic practices that affect legitimate competitiveness in the aviation sector.
This agreement also contributes to increasing awareness and knowledge of legitimate competitive practices that help regulate the civil aviation sector and the air transport industry, monitor, develop and activate it, and implement general policies consistent with the national strategy for the aviation sector.
