The General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Cyprus. The parties agreed to open the airspace between the two countries for all types of commercial air transport. GAGA has held bilateral negotiations with the civil aviation authority of the Republic of Cyprus, which resulted in the agreement to update the bilateral air services agreement between the two countries signed in 2002.
In addition, the General Authority for Civil Aviation in the Kingdom and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Greece completed the discussions to reach a new version of a draft Air services bilateral agreement, which resulted in the modernization of the existing bilateral agreement. The draft included several regulatory provisions for the rights granted, safety and security and the commercial privileges for the airlines of the two countries.
