Saudi Arabia initials civil aviation agreement with Somalia

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) signed a memorandum of understanding and initialed a bilateral agreement with the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The memorandum of understanding states that air operations between the two countries, "from" and "to" 4 international destinations to be determined at a later time by both parties. The respected carriers on each side have the right to operate 4 regular flights and seven 7 air cargo flights a week, while restricting transport right under the Fifth Freedom Rights for air cargo. The memorandum of understanding also stated the principle of multiple appointments of the national carriers on each side, as well as an agreement on the mode of transport, including code sharing and sudden and additional operation. They also agreed to allow their respective carriers to operate leased aircraft as well as the right to link carriers without having transport rights.

السعودية والصومال توقعان بالأحرف الأولى على اتفاقية تعاون في مجال الطيران المدني

وقعت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في المملكة العربي السعودية مذكرة تفاهم مع جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية، عقب جولة من المفاوضات بين الجانبين تمخض عنها التوقيع بالأحرف الأولى على اتفاقية ثنائية.
وتضمنت مذكرة التفاهم أن يكون التشغيل بين الدولتين من وإلى أربع نقاط دولية يتم تحديدها لاحقاً بين السلطتين، ويحق للناقلات المعينة من كل طرف تشغيل الرحلات المنتظمة بمعدل أربع رحلات أسبوعياً لحركة الركاب وسبع رحلات لحركة الشحن الجوي مع تقييد ممارسة حق النقل بالحرية الخامسة للشحن الجوي. كما تضمنت مذكرة التفاهم مبدأ تعددية التعيين للناقلات الوطنية لكل طرف، وكذلك الاتفاق على أنماط النقل بما فيها النقل بتقاسم الرموز والتشغيل العارض والإضافي، والسماح للناقلات بالتشغيل بالطائرات المستأجرة وكذلك حق الربط للناقلات المعينة دون ممارسة حق النقل.
