Qatar and Italy agree to raise number of flights between both countries

The State of Qatar, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of air transport with the Republic of Italy. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Qatari side by HE Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, and on behalf of the Italian side by Mr. Alessio Quaranta, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority in Italy.
The signing of this MoU came after the bilateral discussions held in Doha during which the parties agreed to raise the number of flights to 77 weekly flights and to increase the number of air cargo flights to 16 flights for each of the national carriers of both countries.
Moreover, the Qatari side, through bilateral talks’ session, was able to increase the number of Italian cities to six major cities to which Qatar Airways can operates its flights to.

قطر وإيطاليا تتفقان على رفع عدد الرحلات بين البلدين

وقّعت دولة قطر ممثلة بالهيئة العامة للطيران المدني مذكرة تفاهم في مجال النقل الجوي مع جمهورية ايطاليا. ووقع الاتفاقية عن الجانب القطري سعادة السيد عبدالله بن ناصر تركي السبيعي رئيس الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني، وعن الجانب الايطالي السيد اليسيو كوارانتا المدير العام للهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في ايطاليا.
وجاء توقيع هذه المذكرة بعد جولة من المباحثات الثنائية التي عُقدت في الدوحة، اتفق خلالها الطرفان على رفع عدد الرحلات الجوية الاسبوعية الى 77 رحلة، وزيادة عدد رحلات الشحن الجوي لتصل إلى 16 رحلة لكل من الناقلات الوطنية في كلا البلدين.
كما استطاع الجانب القطري خلال جلسة المباحثات الثنائية زيادة عدد المدن الايطالية التي تسيّر إليها الخطوط الجوية القطرية رحلاتها لتصل إلى 6 مدن رئيسية.
