The Omani Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with OQ Group and Sky Energy to study the possibility of developing a unit to produce sustainable aviation fuel in the Sultanate of Oman.
As per the MoC, the three parties will identify the requirements of setting up a unit in the field of producing sustainable aviation fuel, building capacities and researching technologies used in producing green and sustainable aviation fuel.
This strategic cooperation reflects the joint vision to position Oman in a vital role in the production and use of green energy by implementing joint plans that aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
