Tunisair announced receiving its fourth Airbus A320 aircraft out of 10 aircraft of this type based on the 2010-2016 fleet plan. The new aircraft has been named “Sousse”, and Tunisair’s fleet has reached 34 aircraft.
Tunisair’s fleet plan includes the acquisition of 16 aircraft on firm order along with 3 other options. The airline has a firm order on 10 A320s, 3 A330s, and 3 A350s; while another 2 A320s and an A350 are on option. The objective of this plan is to improve the fleet performance by replacing 11 aging aircraft that are older than 20 years.
