Saudia began the execution of the largest operational process in its history through a strategic plan for the summer season, which is the peak of operation for this year as it includes the school holiday, Umrah season during the holy month of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr and Hajj and it continues till the 1st of September 2019. It comprises the operation of more than 77,000 domestic and international flights with a seat capacity of more than 16.8 million seats, adding direct flights to three international destinations, two steady destinations: Marrakesh, Athens and a third seasonal destination to Malacca.
During the period of the 123-day plan, Saudia allocated more than 7.74 million seats for the domestic sector through 44,246 flights between the different regions of the Kingdom, while the international sector share was more than 9,343 million seats generated from 33,000 trips to 70 international destinations, with a daily average of 627 trips to the domestic and international sectors with seat capacity of more than 136,700 seats per day.
