Saudia will start operating on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018, its first direct flights to a new international seasonal destination, "Izmir" from Jeddah, with four flights per week. As of June 10th, three flights a week will be operated through King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, hence, daily flights will be operated from the Kingdom during the coming period.
Saudia has completed all preparations for operating direct flights to Izmir, where it has been scheduled within its international network, as well as equipping the service platforms at Izmir International Airport with the necessary requirements of qualified personnel and modern equipment.
The first flight (SV251) will depart King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 10:10 am on Wednesday morning to arrive at Izmir at 13:35 pm local time. The return flight will depart at (SV250) 15:05 Wednesday noon to arrive at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 18:30 pm KSA local time. These flights will operate with Airbus A320 aircraft with a seat capacity of 116 seats, 20 for business class and 96 for economy.
Izmir is in fact the third destination of Saudia in Turkey after Istanbul and the capital Ankara. Being Turkey's third largest city with a population of more than 4 million, Izmir is located on Turkey's west coast on the Aegean Sea and has many tourist attractions destinations and is considered a gateway to other tourist towns such as Marmaris and Bodrum.
