Saudia extended its codeshare partnership with Philippine Airlines, a move that was reported on January 21. The expansion began in mid-January and allowed Saudia to display its SV-coded flight numbers on Philippine Airlines’ Manila–Riyadh service. This collaboration enhances the ease of travel for passengers flying between the Middle East and the Philippines, particularly benefiting expatriates and visitors traveling between these regions.
The codeshare agreement now extends to Philippine domestic routes, creating greater convenience and connectivity for Saudia passengers. This expansion reflects a growing trend in the aviation industry, where airlines partner strategically to improve services without adding operational complexity.
Increased Domestic Accessibility in the Philippines
Since late January 2025, Saudia passengers have been able to book flights to four domestic destinations in the Philippines through Philippine Airlines. These include routes from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, and Zamboanga. The move simplifies travel for international passengers who can now access these key destinations with a single ticket. For Filipino travelers, it also provides better connectivity to international flights through Manila. To know more about the partnership, click here.
