Royal Jordanian prepares to receive first Boeing 787 in August

Royal Jordanian is undertaking all preparations to receive its first 787 aircraft, which is expected to join the airline’s fleet in August, after the US aircraft manufacturer confirmed that the RJ Dreamliner assembly is now in full process at the Boeing Seattle factory.
Royal Jordanian will be receiving four more B787s by the end of 2014, the other ordered aircraft will follow in the next few years, helping RJ reach new markets and fly to more cities around the world.
RJ Head of Training and Standards/B787 program manager, Captain Ghassan Obeidat said that the airline is currently preparing to meet the necessary conditions and the technical requirements for the introduction of these new aircraft, which will constitute a qualitative leap in the services offered passengers on long-haul flights.
The new Dreamliner will have a total seating capacity of 270 seats: 24 full flat seats on the Crown Class and 246 seats on the Economy Class.
These 787 airplanes are expected to gradually replace the current Airbus 340s and 330s, a step in line with RJ’s strategy of modernizing fleet, expanding routes and keeping up with the latest technology, added Captain Obeidat.

الملكية الأردنية تستعد لإستلام أولى طائراتها من طراز بوينغ 787 في أغسطس

تجري شركة الخطوط الجوية الملكية الأردنية كافة التحضيرات اللازمة لإستلام الطائرة الأولى من طراز بوينغ 787 والتي ستدخل الأسطول خلال شهر أغسطس المقبل، حيث تعمل شركة بوينغ حالياً على إنتاج هذه الطائرة في مصانعها بمدينة سياتل الأمريكية، كما ستدخل الملكية الأردنية أربع طائرات أخرى من ذات الطراز قبل نهاية العام الجاري من مجمل طلبيتها الكلية التي ستنضم للأسطول تباعاً خلال الأعوام القليلة اللاحقة.
وأوضح الكابتن غسان عبيدات رئيس دائرة التدريب الفني ومدير مشروع بوينغ 787 أن الملكية الأردنية تقوم الآن باستكمال جميع التحضيرات والتدريبات الفنية المطلوبة لإدخال هذه الطائرات، مشيراً إلى أن شركة بوينغ ستقوم بدءً من شهر أيار القادم بتدريب حوالي 80 طياراً من الطيارين العاملين في الملكية الأردنية على طرازات أيرباص المختلفة وذلك في مركز التدريب التابع لشركة بوينغ في لندن ولمدة شهر تقريباً.
وتحتوي طائرة الملكية الأردنية من طراز 787 على 270 مقعداً خصصت الشركة 24 منها لدرجة رجال الأعمال (كراون).
وأشار إلى أن الطائرات الجديدة ستحل تدريجياً مكان الطائرات العاملة حالياً في الأسطول من الطرازين ايرباص 340 و330، حيث ستمكن طائرات البوينغ 787 الشركة من توسيع شبكة خطوطها طويلة المدى ومواكبة التطورات التكنولوجية الحديثة التي يشهدها عالم الطيران.
