Royal Jordanian hosts AACO Business Technology Forum 2014 in Amman

Royal Jordanian Chairman of the Board/ President & CEO H.E. Eng. Nasser Lozi inaugurated the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) Business Technology Forum 2014, held in Amman between 15 and 16 September 2014, and gathering 13 Arab airlines including Royal Jordanian Airlines.
During his opening speech, H.E. Eng. Lozi expressed Royal Jordanian's satisfaction with hosting this forum in Jordan, stressing the importance of this meeting that assembles a selection of experts and professionals working for different Arab airlines to discuss issues related to information technology, communications and the development of the work environment in a manner that helps improve the Arab air transport industry and strengthen its competitive position globally through the optimal use of technology.
He said that information technology and communications became a mainstay for the development of airlines performance through the application of modern systems to streamline the commercial and operational techniques and to simplify travel procedures, in addition to controlling cost, an issue of interest to all Arab and international airlines, mainly because of the sharp rise in fuel prices.
H.E. Eng. Lozi praised AACO's constant efforts, ever since its establishment, to strengthen partnerships and cooperation among Arab carriers in various fields, and to provide an opportunity for their employees to get acquainted with the successful experiences of the civil aviation sector at Arab and global levels.
At the opening session, AACO Secretary General Mr. Abdul Wahab Teffaha delivered a speech in which he stressed the organization's keenness to hold such meetings in light of the growing importance of the information technology sector in supporting the efforts of Arab airlines to find appropriate technical solutions that enable them to provide the best services for passengers, thus increasing the revenues of these carriers and reducing the traditional operational costs.
Mr. Teffaha expressed appreciation for the historic role played by Royal Jordanian in the field. The company has been supporting AACO's efforts, by providing the necessary facilities to hold its meetings in Jordan, and through positive interaction with the organization's various committees.
The two-day event tackled the information technology aspect, discussed by experts from the aviation sector representing the participating airlines.
It also included international air transport professionals negotiating means of enhancing passengers' satisfaction and simplifying travel procedures using the latest technologies.
The forum also discussed measures to increase revenues and control cost, and applying optimal hi-tech solutions in regards to seat booking, ticket selling, airport services, air freight, and others.
Participants working for different international IT and communications providers also participated in this forum, including Amadeus, SITA, Travelport, FARELOGIX, globalcollect and others.

الملكية الأردنية تستضيف ملتقى الاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي لتكنولوجيا الأعمال في عمان

إفتتح رئيس مجلس إدارة الملكية الأردنية والمدير العام / الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة معالي المهندس ناصر اللوزي ملتقى تكنولوجيا الأعمال 2014 الذي عقدهُ الاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي في عمان يومي 15 و16 سبتمبر 2014 بمشاركة ثلاث عشرة شركة طيران عربية بينها الملكية الأردنية.
وأعرب معالي المهندس اللوزي في كلمة ألقاها خلال الجلسة الإفتتاحية للملتقى عن سعادة الملكية الأردنية باستضافة الملتقى في الأردن ، مؤكداً أهمية هذا الإجتماع الذي يضم نخبة من الخبراء والمحترفين العاملين في شركات الطيران العربية في مجالات تقنية المعلومات والإتصالات وتطوير بيئة العمل لمناقشة السبل الكفيلة بالإرتقاء بصناعة النقل الجوي العربية وتمكينها من تعزيز مكانتها التنافسية على المستوى العالمي عبر الإستخدام الأمثل للتكنولوجيا.
وقال أن تقنية المعلومات والإتصالات أصبحت دعامة أساسية لتطوير أداء شركات الطيران من خلال تطبيق النظم الحديثة اللازمة لتبسيط العمليات التجارية والتشغيلية وتبسيط إجراءات النقل أمام المسافرين والتحكم في التكاليف التي أصبحت تعاني منها جميع شركات الطيران العربية والعالمية، سيما مع الإرتفاع الملحوظ في أسعار النفط.
وأشاد معالي المهندس اللوزي بالجهود المتواصلة للاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي والتي يبذلها منذ تأسيسه بهدف تمتين علاقات الشراكة والتعاون بين شركات الطيران العربية في مختلف المجالات وإتاحة الفرصة أمام العاملين في هذه الشركات للإطلاع على التجارب الناجحة في قطاع الطيران المدني على المستويين العربي والدولي.
وتحدث في الجلسة الإفتتاحية للملتقى الأمين العام للاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي السيد عبد الوهاب تفاحة والذي أكد حرص الاتحاد على الإستمرار بتنظيم العديد من الإجتماعات واللقاءات الدورية والتي منها هذا اللقاء السنوي في ضوء الأهمية المتزايدة لقطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات في دعم أعمال شركات الطيران وإيجاد الحلول التقنية الملائمة لتوفير أفضل الخدمات للمسافرين ما يسهم في زيادة موارد شركات الطيران العربية ويقلل التكاليف التشغيلية التقليدية لهذه الصناعة.
وعبر السيد تفاحة عن تقديره للدور التاريخي الذي كانت وما تزال تقوم به الملكية الأردنية في مساندة جهود الإتحاد وتقديم التسهيلات اللازمة لكل الملتقيات التي يعقدها على أرض الأردن طيلة العقود الماضية ، لافتاً إلى الدور التفاعلي الإيجابي للملكية الأردنية في أعمال الإتحاد وااللجان المختلفة المنبثقة عنه.
وتحدث في الملتقى على مدى يومين عدد من المختصين في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والذين يمثلون شركات الطيران العربية بالإضافة إلى خبراء عالميين في صناعة النقل الجوي حول العديد من القضايا التي تركز بمجملها على تعزيز رضا المسافرين وتبسيط إجراءات السفر باستخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة وزيادة الإيرادات وضبط التكاليف والحلول التكنولوجية المثلى في مجالات حجز المقاعد وبيع تذاكر السفر وخدمات المطارات والشحن الجوي وغيرها.
وشارك في الملتقى أيضاً خبراء من الشركات العالمية المزودة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات المستخدمة لدى شركات الطيران العربية مثل؛ أماديوس وسيتا وترافلبورت وفيرلوجيكس وجلوبال كُليكت وغيرها.
