Royal Jordanian Airlines and Air China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Beijing, the Chinese capital, on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to China.
The MoU aims to strengthen the partnership between the two carriers, enhance air connectivity between Jordan and China, and expand areas of commercial and operational cooperation, thereby strengthening their competitiveness in global markets and paving the way for further future cooperation, including the launch of new routes.
Under the MoU, Royal Jordanian and Air China will explore codeshare opportunities on a number of key routes and leverage their hubs in Amman and Beijing to provide passengers with broader travel options and more efficient and seamless connections.
The two carriers will also cooperate across a number of commercial areas, including interline agreements, product and service training, and promotion of both brands, in addition to strengthening cooperation in operational support areas, including ground handling, air cargo and in-flight catering at their Amman and Beijing hubs, contributing to the provision of air services in line with the highest standards.
