Royal Air Maroc announced the opening of a new air base in Laayoune, southern Morocco starting 11 June 2019 . The company will run several flights connecting Laayoune to five other Moroccan cities, as well as the Canary Islands with an ATR-600 aircraft.
In a statement, Royal Air Maroc confirmed that passengers will benefit from a program of six destinations linking Agadir, Dakhla, Marrakech, Semara, Kalimim and Las Palmas. The schedule includes 13 flights per week, including 10 flights to the five Moroccan cities, two flights a week for each domestic destination. The schedule will also be supported by international trips to connect Laayoune Las Palmas, Canary Islands, with three flights per week.
