Qatar Airways announces major expansion in South Africa with launch of flights to Durban and frequency increases to Johannesburg and Cape Town

Qatar Airways has announced a major expansion in South Africa with the launch of a new destination Durban while simultaneously increasing its weekly frequencies to Johannesburg. The airline will also increase its weekly frequency to Cape Town going up from five flights a week to a daily service.
Effective from 17 December 2015, the airline will launch four new weekly flights to Durban via Johannesburg bringing the total frequency to Johannesburg up from 10 weekly flights to a double-daily service. From 1 October 2015 Qatar Airways will be operating daily flights to Cape Town, an increase from five weekly flights.
Durban will be Qatar Airways’ third route to South Africa following Johannesburg and Cape Town, both of which started in January 2005. All three routes will be operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner which offers passengers 254 seats across its Business and Economy Class, with its seats in Business Class reclining to 180-degree fully flat beds.

أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن توسيع عملياتها في جنوب أفريقيا بشكل كبير مع إطلاقها رحلاتها الجديدة إلى مدينة ديربان وزيادة عدد رحلاتها الأسبوعية إلى مدينة جوهانسبرغ. كما أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية أنها ستزيد رحلاتها إلى مدينة كيب تاون من خمس رحلات أسبوعياً إلى رحلة يومياً طوال الأسبوع.
وابتداء من 17 ديسمبر 2015، ستطلق الخطوط الجوية القطرية أربع رحلات أسبوعياً إلى ديربان عبر جوهانسبرغ مما يرفع عدد الرحلات إلى جوهانسبرغ من 10 رحلات أسبوعياً إلى رحلتين في اليوم. وابتداء من الأول من أكتوبر 2015 ستشغل الخطوط الجوية القطرية رحلات يومية إلى مدينة كيب تاون، أي زيادة من خمس رحلات في الأسبوع.
وستكون مدينة ديربان ثالث وجهة للخطوط الجوية القطرية في جنوب أفريقيا بعد أن بدأت في تسيير رحلاتها إلى جوهانسبرغ وكيب تاون في يناير 2005. وستستخدم الشركة طائرات بوينغ من طراز 787 دريملاينر على الوجهات الثلاث. وتضم الطائرة 254 مقعداً في درجة رجال الأعمال والدرجة السياحية، وتتميز مقاعدها في درجة الأعمال بإمكانية الانحناء 180 درجة لتتحول إلى أسرّة مسطحة بالكامل.
