Oman air announced the launch of its new daily direct flight between Salalah and Calicut (CCJ), Kerala starting 27 of March 2017.
The three-and-a-half-hour flight will depart Salalah at 01:10 and arrive in Calicut at 06:20 hrs. The return flight will leave Calicut at 07:00 and arrive in Salalah at 09:15 (local time), The daily service will be operated by a Boeing 737-800.
This step comes in parallel to the expansion of the Oman Air scheduled flights operated between Muscat and Calicut, where it was promoted to become a twice a day flight starting from the month of February.
In a related context, Oman Air announced its expansion plan related to increasing the number of daily trips to the five major plants in India as the first fruits of the agreement signed between the Government of Oman and India last year, in which both parties expressed their approval to increase weekly seats on flights heading to India from 21 145 to 27 405 as an increase of 6258 seats per week.
Oman Air is currently running three daily flights from Muscat to Mumbai and New Delhi and Hyderabad as it increased the number of daily trips to Lakna to become two flights daily.
