Nile Air successfully passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) aimed at the biannual renewal of its IOSA certification. The audit was conducted in early 2016 by an IATA accredited audit organization and lasted for five days during which the areas of operations, aircraft maintenance and ground handling were audited. Nile Air has held the IOSA certification since 2012 however this renewal was significant as it was the first time Nile Air underwent an audit performed in accordance with the Enhanced IOSA (E-IOSA) requirements which requires a fully developed Safety Management System within the company. This reinforces the commitment made by the airline to maintain the highest levels of safety according to international standards.
