Royal Jordanian announced the launch of its regular operations between Amman and Mosul, in northern Iraq, starting November 12, 2013. This addition will increase the number of Royal Jordanian destinations in Iraq to five: Baghdad, Basra, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Mosul.
Initially, Royal Jordanian will operate two weekly flights to Mosul, raising the number of flights between Jordan and Iraq to 28 weekly, including nine weekly flights to each of Baghdad and Erbil and four weekly flights to each of Basra and Sulaymaniyah.
The service between Mosul and Amman will also serve Iraqi passengers transiting though Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), connecting them, through Royal Jordanian flights, with any worldwide destination served by the airline.
