MEA inaugurates new cargo center

Middle East Airlines saw the official inauguration of its new USD 25 million cargo center at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport that was designed to speed up the inspection of goods and handle all types and sizes of imported and exported items.
The new cargo center could store 165,000 tons of goods, compared to the old facility’s 65,000-ton capacity. The new cargo center is built over an area of 20,645 square meters and is equipped with more than 330 closed-circuit cameras, four large scanners, four generators and the latest UPS systems.
The center can also handle the freight of other international airlines that use the airport.

طيران الشرق الأوسط يفتتح مركز الشحن الجوي

أعلنت شركة طيران الشرق الاوسط عن افتتاح مركز الشحن الجوي الجديد في مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي في بيروت، والتي بلغت تكلفته 25 مليون دولار أميركي، حيث تم تصميم هذا المركز لتسريع عملية تفتيش البضائع ومناولة كل أنواع المستوردات والصادرات بشتى أحجامها.
وتبلغ القدرة الاستيعابية للمركز الجديد 165,000 طن من الشحن، مقارنة مع 65,000 طن في المركز القديم. ويمتد المركز الجديد على مساحة 20,645 متر مربع وهو مجهز بأكثر من 330 كاميرا بتقنية CCTV، وأربع أجهزة كشف كبيرة، وأربعة مولدات وأجهز أنظمة الـUPS.
كما يمكن أن يقوم المركز بمناولة عمليات الشحن للطائرات الأخرى العاملة في المطار.
