Gulf Air announced the launch of new routes in 2018. The airline will launch 5 weekly direct flights to Baku from 12 June 2018, in addition to direct flights to the Egyptian cities of Alexandria (with a 3-weekly service) from 10 June 2018 and Sharm El Shaikh (with a 2-weekly service) from 16 June 2018. Gulf Air will also launch 5 weekly direct flights between Bahrain and Casablanca from 11 June 2018; Casablanca route will be operated by the airline’s incoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Moreover, the airline will start to operate 5 weekly direct flights to the Saudi Arabian cities of Abha and Tabuk from 15 June 2018, taking the total number of cities served by Gulf Air in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to 7.
The network expansion coincides with the airline’s new aircraft deliveries, of which 5 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 2 Airbus A320neos will enter Gulf Air’s fleet by end-2018.
