Gulf Air’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which was delivered to Bahrain on May 11th , will be operated on regional routes, before it’s deployed on the London Heathrow route on June 15.
The wide-body aircraft, the first of Gulf Air’s incoming fleet of 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft, has 282 seats in a two-class configuration, with 26 Falcon Gold Class seats and 256 Economy Class seats – over 30 percent more than its previous wide body offering.
Gulf Air will take delivery of four more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and two Airbus A320neo aircraft by the end of this year.
In addition to the London route, Gulf will operate the Dreamliner on the Casablanca, Morocco service.
