Gulf Air obtains ISO certifications

In an awards ceremony recently held at Gulf Air, the airline was recognized by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), for successfully upgrading its Information Security Management System to the latest ISO 27001:2013 standard. The standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an Information Security Management System.
The certification was awarded to Mr. Maher Salman Al Musallam, Gulf Air A/Chief Executive Officer, by Mr. Zulfiqar Haider, Chief Executive of Certification at Bureau Veritas Bahrain at the awards ceremony which was attended by members of Gulf Air’s Information Security Committee.
Gulf Air has successfully managed its ISO 27001 certification over the past four years, and it is the first airline in the world to be accredited for its Information Technology practices under five (5) different ISO Certificates. The Information Technology ISO certifications were in the five areas of Quality Management, Environmental Management, Service Management, Information Security Management and Energy Management Systems.

إدارة أمن المعلومات بطيران الخليج تحصل على شهادة الآيزو

في حفل أقيم في مقرها الرئيسي بالمحرق، كُرمت طيران الخليج مؤخراً من قِبل شركة "بيورو فيريتاس" الرائدة في التدقيق والتصديق؛ وذلك لنجاح الناقلة في ترقية نظام أمن معلوماتها و معلومات عملائها لأحدث معايير الآيزو 27001:2013. ويقضي هذا المعيار بإنشاء وتطبيق والمحافظة واستمرارية تطوير إدارة نظم أمن المعلومات.
وقد سلّم الرئيس التنفيذي في "بيورو فيريتاس" البحرين السيد ذو الفقار حيدر شهادة التصديق للقائم بأعمال الرئيس التنفيذي لطيران الخليج السيد ماهر سلمان المسلم خلال الحفل الذي حضره أعضاء لجنة طيران الخليج لأمن المعلومات.
هذا، وتتعامل طيران الخليج بنجاح مع شهادتها للآيزو 27001 على مدى الأربع سنوات الماضية؛ فيما أصبحت في ديسمبر 2015 الناقلة الأولى في العالم في عملها بـ 5 شهادات آيزو والتصديق على نظم أمن معلوماتها. وقد كانت شهادات الآيزو لتقنية المعلومات التي حصلت عليها الناقلة في خمس فئات هي: إدارة الجودة، وإدارة البيئة، وإدارة الخدمات، وإدارة أمن المعلومات، وإدارة نظم الطاقة.
