Etihad Airways Medical Centre signs partnership with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland

Etihad Airways Medical Centre and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) announced a new partnership to provide the airline with educational, training, research and operational excellence opportunities in the field of Occupational Medicine.
The collaboration, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East, will enable Etihad Airways to enhance the medical and broader wellbeing services it provides.
The partnership will form a key part of the airline’s commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards for its crew and passengers, in line with Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 to develop a robust, world-class healthcare system in the Emirate. Etihad Airways Medical Centre, the Faculty and RCPI are committed to raising the understanding and role of Occupational Medicine within the airline industry, and across society as a whole.
As part of the innovative agreement, the Faculty will hold specialised training courses and educational programmes to optimise and develop the skills of Etihad Airways’ staff and the medical services offered by the airline. A ‘visiting expert’ programme will be introduced to allow both parties to exchange and transfer field experts to enhance knowledge-sharing. Research findings and medical scientific inventions, where applicable, will also be exchanged under the new agreement.
The Faculty will develop a programme to prepare Etihad Airways Medical Centre to become an accredited training centre of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and RCPI. A training programme will also be created with the aim of qualifying the first occupational health nurses in the UAE.
As part of the new agreement, the Faculty will provide Etihad Airways with a detailed needs assessment of its catering, cargo and support services in addition to the airline’s recently opened Etihad Medical Services Centre.

المركز الطبي للاتحاد للطيران يوقّع على اتفاقية شراكة مع الكلية الملكية للأطباء في أيرلندا

أعلن المركز الطبي التابع للاتحاد للطيران عن الدخول في شراكة رائدة جديدة مع "كلية الطب المهني" التابعة للكلية الملكية للأطباء في أيرلندا (RCPI)، بهدف تزويد الاتحاد للطيران بفرص التميّز على صعيد التعليم والتدريب والبحث الطبي والإجراءات التشغيلية في مجال الطب المهني.
ومن شأن هذا التعاون، الذي يعدُّ الأول من نوعه في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، أن يتيح للاتحاد للطيران تعزيز الخدمات الطبية والصحية التي توفرها.
وسوف تمثل هذه الشراكة ركيزة أساسية في التزام الشركة إزاء تقديم أعلى معايير السلامة لموظفيها وضيوفها من المسافرين، بالاتساق مع رؤية أبوظبي الاقتصادية 2030 التي تؤكد على تطوير منظومة عالمية المستوى للرعاية الصحية في إمارة أبوظبي. ويلتزم المركز الطبي للاتحاد للطيران وكلية الطب المهني والكلية الملكية للأطباء في أيرلندا برفع مستوى الوعي وتعزيز دور الطب المهني في صناعة الطيران وعلى صعيد المجتمع بأكمله.
وفي إطار اتفاقية الشراكة المبتكرة، سوف تعقد كلية الطب المهني دورات تدريبية وبرامج تثقيفية لتحسين مهارات موظفي الاتحاد للطيران وتطوير الخدمات الطبية التي توفرها الشركة. وسوف توفر الكلية كذلك برنامج "الخبير الزائر" للسماح لكلا الجانبين بتبادل وانتقال الخبراء المتخصصين بهدف تعزيز جهود التشارك في المعرفة. وبموجب الاتفاقية الجديدة كذلك، سوف يتبادل الجانبان نتائج الدراسات الطبية والمبتكرات العلمية الطبية حيثما كان ذلك منطبقاً.
وسوف تعمل كلية الطب المهني على تطوير برنامج لإعداد المركز الطبي للاتحاد للطيران بأن يصبح مركزاً تدريبياً معتمداً من كلية الطب المهني والكلية الملكية للأطباء في أيرلندا. وسوف تطور الكلية كذلك برنامجاً تدريبياً بهدف تأهيل أول ممرضين وممرضات متخصصين في الطب المهني في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
وفي إطار الاتفاقية الجديدة، سوف تتولى كلية الطب المهني إعداد تقييم مفصل للاحتياجات اللازمة للاتحاد للطيران فيما يتعلق بخدمات تموين الطائرات والشحن والدعم التي توفرها الشركة إلى جانب مركز الاتحاد للطيران للخدمات الطبية الذي تم التوسع فيه مؤخراً.
