Etihad Airways has penned an agreement with SITAONAIR for the implementation of the air transport technology company’s eWAS Weather Awareness Solution. Set to be deployed across 100 aircraft in the national carrier’s fleet it is designed to improve situational awareness and reduce costs associated with weather avoidance. Enabling pilots to analyze areas of turbulence along their respective flight paths, flight crews can make informed decisions on alternative routing in advance of the flight.
