Airbus is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2017, it generated revenues of € 67 billion and employed a workforce of around 129,000. Airbus offers the most comprehensive range of passenger airliners from 100 to more than 600 seats. Airbus is also a European leader providing tanker, combat, transport and mission aircraft, as well as one of the world’s leading space companies. In helicopters, Airbus provides the most efficient civil and military rotorcraft solutions worldwide.

The Middle East is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. The airlines of the region are setting the standards for the future of global commercial aviation. Their fleets are some of the youngest in the world and their levels of excellence are the new benchmark for passenger comfort, operating efficiency and network connectivity.

Airbus has a strong presence in the Middle East that covers the entire spectrum of the company’s products which are set to dominate air travel in, to and from the region. From the superjumbo A380 to the world’s most fuel efficient and modern airliner – the A350 XWB and the A330 family – to the future generation of single-aisle airliner – the A320neo family – Airbus is driving the trajectory of aviation in the region.

Airbus regional headquarters are located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; the thriving subsidiary handles all commercial activities, including marketing, sales, contracts and customer relations. This includes customer services, such as training, and technical support.

Driven by the corporate vision of imagination, innovation and meeting the challenges of the future of flight, Airbus is investing in strategic manufacturing partnerships and commercial agreements across the Middle East region, including in the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia and Morocco.

In the UAE, Strata produces composite components for the A330, A330neo, A350 XWB and A380 aircraft while Tawazun Precision Industries (TPI) manufactures metallic parts for the A320, A320neo and A330 programmes. In Morocco and Tunisia, Airbus suppliers and Airbus subsidiary, Stelia, employ a highly skilled workforce and take advantage of the close proximity to Europe to source a mix of precision machined, composite, electrical and assembled components for use across all Airbus programmes.

Part of the corporation’s 360 degree integration in the aviation and aerospace sector is NavBlue, a 100 per cent-owned Airbus subsidiary which also is present at Airbus Middle East. Dedicated to Air Traffic Management (ATM) modernisation and transformation, NavBlue is also engaged in the development of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures and has worked – to date – at over 40 terminal airspaces in the world, including key airports such as Abu Dhabi. NavBlue delivers best-in-class expertise and intelligent solutions to maximise efficiency, better performance, increase capacity, enhance predictability and support sustainability.

Airbus mission in the Middle East is to sustain and help drive the future growth of the region’s aviation industry and to enhance its contribution to the regional economies. Airbus is committed to inspiring the youth of the region and support building a pipeline of aviation professionals for the region and we are constantly working within the region to harness future talent at all levels.
