We are looking forward to welcoming you to the AACO 57th Annual General Meeting to be held in the Dead Sea - Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 29-31 October 2024 at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea (https://www.kempinski.com/en/deadsea). Below we list all the necessary information needed to ensure a comfortable arrival and stay at the Dead Sea as well as the relevant information needed for your participation at the AGM.
AGM Events & Functions:
AACO 57th Annual General Meeting will be held at the "Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea", the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 29-31 October 2024, by kind invitation of Eng. Samer Majali, Vice Chairman/ Board Designee CEO of Royal Jordanian and Chairman of AACO 57th AGM.
- The opening of the AGM will be held on the evening of Tuesday, 29 October 2024 from 19:45 to 22:30. at "Inanna Terrace Ishtar" - Village Area, Ground Floor " at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea.
- The working sessions of the 57th AGM will be held on Wednesday 30 October starting at 09:00 A.M. in the "Sacrament Ballroom" located at Main Building, level 4 of the "Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea".
- The AGM functions will conclude with the closing dinner which will take place at the "Al Edwan Farm" on the evening of Wednesday, 30 October at 20:30.
- Royal Jordanian is organizing a networking trip to "Petra" - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the 31st of October 2024.
- Royal Jordanian is organizing a visit to the Baptism site - Jordan River for the AGM delegates not attending the closed session on 30 October from 15:00 – 18:00.
AGM Registration & Badge:
Registration will take place on the 29th of October starting at 10:00 a.m. at the "Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea", Level 4.
- Badges must be collected from the registration desk.
- Your badge is confirmation that you are a registered delegate.
- Your badge must be worn at all the AGM functions.
AGM Documentation:
Based on the Executive Committee decision, AACO 57th AGM working papers will no longer be distributed in printed format, except for the CEOs of AACO members who request to receive a printed copy of all materials and documentation. Accordingly, if you wish to receive a hard copy, please contact us at [email protected].
All AACO documentation and materials will be uploaded onto the AACO Events APP, which will be launched during September 2024.
Transportation:
The distance from Queen Alia International Airport to the Dead Sea is about a 60-minute drive.
Royal Jordanian will provide transportation for all delegates during the AGM, specifically between Queen Alia International Airport and the "Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, and vice versa. Accordingly, please provide your confirmed flight details to AACO at [email protected].
Royal Jordanian will provide transportation from the "Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea" for the closing dinner, Baptism Site, and Networking Trip through air-conditioned buses.
The AGM Hotel:
The AACO 57th AGM will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea. Please book your hotel accommodation through the AGM registration page (www.aaco.org/aaco-57th-agm/registration) to benefit from our negotiated rates. Please note the below important hotel policy:
- All rooms must be guaranteed by a credit card ahead of arrival. Credit card secured link will be sent by the hotel to each delegate.
- Hotel check-in at 15:00 and Check-out at 12:00. If you need an early check-in or check-out, please contact the hotel at [email protected] to coordinate that matter.
- Room Cancellation Policy:
o Rooms can be cancelled before 72hrs of arrival free of charge
o Any room cancelled within 72hrs of arrival, 100% of first night will
be charged
o In case of No-Show of confirmed booking, 100% of first night will
be charged
o Early Departure will be charged 100% (if the guest checked in
at the hotel and wants to cut stay, he/she will be charged
100% for the entire stay)

AGM Networking Functions:
Royal Jordanian will organize two networking trips for the AGM delegates as below:
Trip One:

Royal Jordanian is organizing a visit to the Baptism site - Jordan River for the AGM delegates not attending the closed session. If you wish to participate, please advise AACO AGM team at [email protected]
Trip Two:
Date: 31 October 2024
Time: 11:00 - 20:00
Royal Jordanian will organize a visit to “Petra” - a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you wish to participate, please indicate that on the registration page.
AGM APP:
Be sure to visit the AACO Events AGM app as updates will be posted on a regular basis. The app will provide information on the agenda, working papers, press release, resolutions, sponsors, speakers and others. We will notify all delegates when the App is live for download which will be available on the App Store and on the Play Store.

AGM Dress Code:
- The dress code for the opening and working sessions is "Business Attire".
- The dress code for the closing dinner is "Smart Casual".
- The dress code for the networking trip is "Casual", please ensure comfortable shoes as the trip includes walking around Petra sights

The highest day temperature during October is 31°C (87.8°F). At the same time, the lowest night temperature is 26°C (78.8°F). Day and night temperature averages during October are 28.4°C (83.12°F) and 27.5°C (81.5°F).
The average seawater temperature in October is 30.5°C (86.9°F). The highest and lowest sea temperatures during the month are 32.3°C (90.14°F) and 29.0°C (84.2°F).
Almost all days of October in the Dead Sea are sunny. Cloudy days are rare.
