AACO Executive Committee has approved of Turkish Airlines’ application to join AACO on June 13th, 2011…
Turkish Airlines, the leading flag carrier in Turkey, has joined AACO as Partner Airline of this regional airline association. The partnership will provide the Arab airlines members of AACO and Turkish Airlines with opportunities of creating synergies through the joint projects that AACO launched during the past years as well as accessing its event and publications.
As it prepares for its Partner Airline membership, Turkish Airlines intends to develop bilateral links with a number of AACO’s established partners, which includes some of the leading names in the airline industry. Turkish Airlines already operates code-share flights with AACO partners, Egyptair, Etihad Airways, Royal Air Maroc and Syrian Arab Airlines.
Turkish Airlines’ General Manager Mr. Temel Kotil, Ph.D. said: “AACO is an important association for us to be incorporated into this collaboration. I believe that this cooperation will provide great opportunities and will be beneficial for us and all the member airlines.”

Turkish Airlines will mainly participate in Annual General Meeting which is one of the most important aviation events in the Arab world and meets annually highlighting high-level industry issues.
