Passenger traffic at Sharjah International Airport jumped 9.45% to 657,153 in July despite high fuel costs and increased economic uncertainty over the global economic recovery.
Sharjah International Airport recorded a total of 5,472 aircraft movements in July, up 2.49% compared to 5,339 in July 2011. It handled 44,792 tonnes of cargo in July 2012. The Sea-Air Cargo throughput increased by 3.96% to 3,863 tonnes compared to 3,716 tonnes recorded during the corresponding period in 2011.
