Sharjah International Airport announced a 17.53% increase in the number of passengers in August 2012, compared to the same period of 2011. The airport recorded 631,210 passengers in 2012, while 537,071 passengers used the airport in August 2011.
Aircraft movement also increased by 4.43% to reach 5,444 scheduled and unscheduled flights in 2012, compared to 5,213 flights recorded last year.
