Passenger numbers at Abu Dhabi International Airport increase by 14.5% in January

Passenger growth at Abu Dhabi International Airport has marked another double digit increase with a 14.5% rise for January compared to the same month last year.
The airport’s passenger statistics show that 1,564,266 passengers used the airport in January 2014, growing from 1,366,433 in January 2013. Aircraft movements are also registering a parallel increase of 7.7% growth compared with the same month last year to record 11,972 movements.
Cargo activity increased to 58,114 tonnes handled at the Capital’s airport, marking an 18.9% increase in January 2014 compared to the same in 2013.
The top five routes from Abu Dhabi International Airport during January were Bangkok, Jeddah, Doha, Manila and London Heathrow.

ازداد نمو عدد المسافرين في مطار أبوظبي الدولي بنسبة 14.5 بالمئة في شهر يناير مقارنة مع الشهر نفسه من العام الماضي.
وأظهرت احصاءات المسافرين في المطار أن 1,564,266 مسافر عبروا من خلال المطار في شهر يناير للعام 2014، والذي قدر عددهم بـ 1,366,433 مليون مسافر في نفس الشهر من العام 2013. وسجلت حركة الطائرات أيضا زيادة موازية بنسبة 7.7 بالمئة مقارنة مع نفس الشهر من العام الماضي لتسجل 11,972 حركة.
وأظهر نشاط حركة الشحن زيادة أيضاُ حيث تمت مناولة 58,114 طن في مطار العاصمة، وهو ما شكل زيادة نسبتها 18.9 بالمئة في يناير للعام 2014 مقارنة مع نفس الشهر من العام الماضي.
وشملت المسارات الخمس الأوائل في مطار أبوظبي الدولي خلال شهر يناير لهذا العام، ما يلي: بانكوك، وجدة، والدوحة، ومانيلا، ولندن هيثرو.
