Hamad International Airport reports 7.3 million passengers in first quarter of 2015

Hamad International Airport (HIA) has served 7.3 million passengers during the first quarter of 2015, representing a 17% increase from the number of passengers who travelled through the previous hub, Doha International Airport, during the same period in 2014.
In detail, HIA saw 7,360,308 passengers pass through its gates during the first quarter of 2015, with 2,589,403 passengers departing, arriving and transiting in January; 2,285,221 in February; and 2,485,684 passenger movements in March. The same period in2014 saw 6,294,910 passengers travelling through the Doha International Airport, including 2,191,148 passengers in January; 1,973,823 in February; and 2,129,639 in March.
Cargo tonnage totaled 249,769 tons in the first quarter of 2015, representing a 9% increase, compared to 228,831 tons of cargo transported in the same timeframe in 2014.
HIA has also seen an increase in aircraft movements with 49,208 movements during the first quarter of 2015, a 14% increase in aircraft take-off and landing at the airport, compared to 43,155 movements during same period in 2014.

شهد مطار حمد الدولي ارتفاعاً في عدد المسافرين خلال الربع الأول من العام 2015، حيث سجل عبور 7.3 مليون مسافراً بنسبة نمو وصلت إلى 17 بالمئة، مقارنة بالفترة ذاتها من العام 2014 في مطار الدوحة الدولي.
فقد تم تسجيل عبور 7,360,308 مسافر عبر المطار خلال الربع الأول منهم 2,589,403 في يناير و2,285,221 في فبراير، و2,485,684 في مارس، فيما سجل العام 2014 لنفس الفترة عبور 6,294,910 مسافرين منهم 2,191,148 خلال يناير و1,973,823 خلال فبراير و2,129,639 في مارس.
وارتفعت حركة الشحن الجوي خلال نفس الفترة بنسبة 9 بالمئة، مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام 2014؛ حيث تم تسجيل شحن 249,769 طناً في الربع الأول من 2015، فيما شهد الربع الأول من العام 2014 شحن 228,831 طناً.
وارتفع عدد الحركات الجوية في مطار حمد الدولي بنسبة 14 بالمئة مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام 2014؛ إذ بلغت هذا العام 49,208، أما العام 2014 فكانت 43,155 حركة جوية.
