Double-digit passenger traffic growth continued at Dubai International for the seventh consecutive month during February. Passenger traffic reached 5,675,246 in February 2014, up 11.7% from 5,080,360 recorded during the same month in 2013. Year to date passenger traffic rose 13.5% to 12,075,952 passengers, up from 10,640,120 during the first two months of 2013.
Total aircraft movements rose 4% to 29,220 during the month compared to 28,085 movements recorded during the same period last year. Year to date aircraft movements came in at 61,845, rising 4.1% from the 59,417 movements recorded during the same period in 2013. Passengers per aircraft movements in February rose 3.9% to 209 from 201 recorded during the same period last year.
Freight volumes rose 3.4% in February 2014 to 188,702 tonnes compared to 182,580 tonnes recorded in February 2013.
