UAE seals Open Skies agreement with Burkina Faso

The United Arab Emirates, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), has signed an Open Skies agreement with the Government of Burkina Faso.

The agreement was signed by H.E Eng. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA and H.E. Daouda Traore, Minister of Infrastructures and Transports of Burkina Faso.

The agreement that was signed allows full flexibility on the routes, capacity, number of frequencies and types of aircraft, in any type of service (passenger or cargo). It also includes the exercise of fifth freedom traffic rights. In addition, both Parties agreed to allow unrestricted, non-scheduled/charter operations between the two countries.

UAE and Burkina Faso are currently members of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the two Ministers discussed ways to further enhance cooperation at the forthcoming ICAO Council meeting.

الإمارات توقع اتفاقية الأجواء المفتوحة مع بوركينافاسو

وقعت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ممثلة بالهيئة العامة للطيران المدني اتفاقية الأجواء المفتوحة مع حكومة بوركينا فاسو.
وقع هذه الاتفاقية من جانب الدولة معالي المهندس سلطان بن سعيد المنصوري وزير الاقتصاد ورئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني ومن جانب بوركينافاسو سعادة داودا تراوري وزير البنية التحتية والنقل.
وتسمح الاتفاقية بتسهيل الحركة الجوية بين البلدين خاصة وان زيادة عدد الرحلات سيعطي كافة الخدمات الجوية /الركاب أو البضائع/ المرونة اللازمة. كما شملت الاتفاقية السماح بممارسة الحرية الخامسة من حقوق النقل الحر. كذلك، اتفق الطرفان على السماح للعمليات الجوية غير المنتظمة / الطائرات المستاجرة أو الخاصة / بدخول اجواء الدولة بدون قيود.
كما اتفق الطرفان على أن يتم مناقشة سبل تعزيز التعاون في منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي المقبل باعتبارهما أعضاء في مجلس المنظمة.
