Saudi Arabia and Sultanate of Oman sign two memorandums of understanding on air transport

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman signed two memorandums of understanding in the field of air transport and air navigation services, to comply with the regulatory developments in air transport in the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The first agreement outlines both countries' rights to increase flights between specific destinations. Officials in the civil aviation sector will hold regular meetings to review operations and evaluate operational status, in accordance with the developments in the economic regulations of the international air transport.
According to the second agreement, the two countries agreed to develop a program to coordinate positions, share experiences in air navigation services and air traffic management, and create a joint standard between civil aviation authorities in the two countries. It had been also agreed to share technical information and scientific research, exchange visits from specialists, and cooperate in training air traffic controllers and technicians.

أعلنت السعودية عن توقيع مذكرتي تفاهم مع سلطنة عُمان في مجال تنظيم النقل الجوي وخدمات الملاحة الجوية بما يواكب التطورات التي يشهدها تنظيم النقل الجوي بين البلدين، حسبما نشرت وكالة الأنباء السعودية.
وتنص الاتفاقية الأولى على زيادة الحق لكل طرف في تشغيل الرحلات من وإلى النقاط المحددة، وعقد اجتماع دوري بين سلطتي الطيران المدني في البلدين لمراجعة وتقييم الوضع التشغيلي، بما ينسجم مع التطورات التي يشهدها التنظيم الاقتصادي للنقل الجوي الدولي.
كما تضمنت الاتفاقية الثانية تطوير برنامج عمل تنفيذي لتنسيق المواقف وتبادل الخبرات في مجال خدمات وتنظيم الملاحة الجوية، وإيجاد قاعدة مشتركة بين سلطتي الطيران المدني في البلدين، وكذلك تبادل نتائج الأبحاث العملية والمعلومات الفنية، وتبادل الزيارات بين المختصين من الطرفين والتعاون في مجال التدريب والتأهيل للمراقبين الجويين والفنيين.
