Saudi Arabia and Bahrain seal an MoU on air transport services

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow 2016, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kingdom of Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on air transport ties between both countries. The MoU modernizes the operational framework of scheduled flights between both countries and increases their number to 107 weekly flights on international sectors without any restrictions on aircraft type or seat capacity; in addition to liberalizing cargo services.
Moreover, the MoU covers codeshare services with third parties, charter and ad-hoc services; in addition to permitting the usage of leased aircraft for domestic services according to the laws and regulations of each contracting party.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Sulaiman Al Hamdan, President of Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and H.E. Eng Kamal Bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications in Bahrain.
السعودية والبحرين توقعان مذكرة تفاهم لتنظيم النقل الجوي

على هامش معرض البحرين الدولي للطيران 2016، وقعت المملكة العربية السعودية ومملكة البحرين مذكرة تفاهم لتنظيم النقل الجوي بين البلدين، والتي تم بموجبها تحديث الإطار التشغيلي من خلال تثبيت الرحلات المنتظمة بين البلدين الشقيقين لتكون بمعدل 107 رحلات أسبوعياً على النقاط الدولية ودون اي قيود على طراز الطائرات او السعة المقعدية، بالاضافة الى تحرير خدمات الشحن الجوي.
كما تضمنت مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة، ادراج جميع أنماط النقل بما فيها النقل بتقاسم الرموز مع اشراك طرف ثالث، والنقل الإضافي والعارض، وكذلك بنود تخص السماح باستخدام الطائرات المستأجرة وحق الربط الداخلي للناقلات المعينة طبقاً للانظمة والقوانين لكل طرف متعاقد.
وقع المذكرة من جانب المملكة معالي رئيس الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني الاستاذ سليمان بن عبدالله الحمدان ومن الجانب البحريني سعادة المهندس كمال بن احمد وزير المواصلات والاتصالات.
