Saudia launched an update to its application for smart devices which is available on (App Store) and Google Play. The update features a new user interface design, improved application performance to enhance the user experience and speed up travel procedures as part of the technology development plan, in order to keep pace with the latest developments in the aviation industry, which include expanding the provision of more self-service.
The launch of the new application update comes after several services have been activated recently, including the credit card payment verification service through the implementation of the 3DS standard, as well as the updating and development of finalizing the booking procedures and the issuance of boarding passes. Also, many new international destinations around the world through SPAs, as well as showing the Forsan loyalty program membership data in the members' booking register so that they can add the mileage, in addition to linking the application to the Saudia accounts on social media.
These features are added to the basic services provided by the application, which are booking reservations, ticketing and payment by SADAD or credit cards by scanning the card, providing instant and immediate information about the status of flights and saving cards in the phone book (PassBook). The application allows reservation of bookings on mobile phone with the possibility of retrieval and review of previous reservations, as well as the notification feature, in addition to saving the data of the passenger on the mobile phone, and sharing the booking with friends. The Hijri date may be used in the booking.
