Middle East Airlines (MEA) received its new A320 from Airbus’ facility in Hamburg, by which MEA’s fleet increases to reach 16 aircraft. The airline now owns 15 aircraft and the new 16th aircraft is leased.
Mr. Mohamad A. El-Hout, Chairman - Director General of MEA, highlighted that the new aircraft is leased for a period that ranges between 6 and 8 years. He added that as of 2016, MEA will start purchasing the new generation aircraft that save fuel consumption at a rate of 15%.
