Cyprus Airways is to codeshare with Middle East Airlines, the Lebanese flag-carrier which has been tipped as a possible future investor.
The codeshare covers services between Cyprus and Beirut, said the Cypriot operator.
"Co-operation of the two companies through the agreement significantly increases the frequency of flights, offering the opportunity for day trips to and from Beirut," it added.
MEA will operate seven times per week under the codeshare, and Cyprus Airways five.
State-controlled Cyprus Airways is examining its future ownership and MEA has been mentioned locally as a possible interested party.
